Our Direct Award Process

1.) Initiation: The Client and Contracting Officer identify a need and decide to sole source the project to Kumaumau.

2.) Notification: The Contracting Officer sends a Letter of Intent to Award along with a project description to the SBA.

3.) Review: The SBA reviews the project scope and validates Kumaumau’s capability to fulfill the requirements.

4.) Acceptance: The SBA issues a letter of acceptance to the Contracting Officer.

5.) Negotiation: With SBA approval, the Contracting Officer and Client initiate final negotiations with Kumaumau.

6.) Award and Implementation: Once terms are agreed upon, the contract is awarded, and the Kumaumau team begins work promptly.
